All alumni brothers are invited to join us on the social media platform, Slack.  Our official communication management plan outlines 3 mediums of preferred communication each with it’s own specialized purpose:

1. EpsilonAC.org Website: unidirectional/outbound communication to members and the public; includes announcements, news items, event notification, and committee reports such as minutes, financial reports, and progress toward our mission and goals.  Members are able to view private (brothers-only) communications while friends and community supporters are able to view publicly shared content.

2. Slack: bidirectional communications including topical discussions ranging from fellowship to mission-focuses as well as professional networking; Brothers are encouraged to create an account on Slack to create and participate in discussions on any topics of their choice.  There is a slight learning curve, but we are certain that if you invest a small amount of time to give it a try, you will quickly realize the benefits over text messaging which is usually very limited in reach, disruptive (pushed instead of pulled), and difficult to administer and manage (membership and history).

3. Email: our strategy is to reserve email for calls to action only.  When you receive an official email from the EAC, it will have been reviewed and approved by at least one member of the Board of Directors and it will contain a call-to-action front and center.  Additional background or detail may be available through a link provided to this web site, but the call to action will be short and specific out of respect for your busy schedule and the timeliness of such important requests.  If you have content that you would like to share with all alumni members, please consider posting to our web site or asking any of our committee members for assistance with same.
